Slice Society

NYC-Style Pizza in the Heart of Berlin

Architect: Cesar Taccari
F&B consulting: Viola Molzen
Project management: Loïc Dindinaud

Slice Society, a New York City-inspired pizza joint, made its grand debut in Berlin in 2024. Founded by Alexander Welskopp and Marcus Hagemann, two passionate food enthusiasts deeply inspired by the iconic pizzerias of New York, this project came to life in November 2024—and we at White Kitchen Studio are proud to have played a key role in its creation.

From concept to completion, White Kitchen Studio provided comprehensive support, handling every step of the journey. Our services included space selection, interior design, permit applications, contractor sourcing, and project management. The venue was thoughtfully divided into four key areas:

- Guest Room: A designated space exclusively for takeaway customers.
- Kitchen: Equipped with ovens and designed for the final assembly of their signature pizzas.
- Back Kitchen: Dedicated to dough and sauce preparation.
- Staff Room: A functional space to accommodate their five-person team.

One of our biggest challenges was transforming the space, which previously housed a clothing store, into a fully functional food business. This required extensive adaptations to meet strict food service regulations. Despite these obstacles, we successfully completed the transformation within just three months.

Since its opening, Slice Society has been winning over Berliners with its iconic slices. Their pizza is a must-try, and we’re delighted to see them thriving.
