A former women’s prison built in 1906 turned into a 13 key hotel. (9 rooms & 4 suites)
Its unique character mixed with contemporary finishes transforms the old prison cells into a truly secluded experience for the
new guests.
In every room, the high vaulted ceilings are restored, while the original walls and the large grilled windows remain untouched.
Bronze and wooden floors and lighting fixtures evoking the style of the Golden Twenties in Germany add delicate details to
the historic atmosphere. Glass partitions with full hight curtains and contemporary furniture balance the stylistic equation.
White Kitchen has designed the following functional spaces for The Knast:
- Reception
- Restaurant
- 9 bedrooms
The Knast is scheduled to open in the second half of 2022.
